What to Expect

January thru March
Being cold is all relative to where you live. The fish don't care if it is cold and they are hungry all winter long. Dress properly and you will have a great time. Look to catch a ton of redfish, trout, black drum and sheepshead.

April and May
These are the windiest months of the year but also very productive. Look to catch a lot of black drum, speckled trout and a few redfish.

June and July
The heat is on and the speckled trout are hungry. These are 2 excellent months to catch a ton of specks.

August and September
As the water temps get warmer so does the redfish bite. You better get your work out in because these bruisers will wear you out.

October thru December

By far the best 3 months of the year for fishing with fantastic weather and hungry fish. This is primetime flounder season!

Families and kids are what the captain specializes in! Most of these trips the kids will remember forever and being a part of that is very special to Capt Craig. The captain will provide all rods, reels, bait and tackle. He will also provide drinking water and have a cooler of ice for any refreshments you might want to bring along.  Dressing properly is requested. That means in wintertime be prepared for it to be 20 degrees cooler than forecasted temperatures.  Hats gloves and jackets will make your trip more comfortable and it is better to have them and not need them.  As you can see my boat is a convertible so wind chill is a factor.  In summer make sure and dress in loose clothing like Columbia fishing shirts and large brimmed hats.  The sun is very strong down here in Galveston so make sure and use sunscreen and cover up your skin.
